Trust His Unfailing Love
Do you know what pleases God more than anything? Do you know what moves his mighty hand of favor and power? The answer is faith!
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, for those who come to him must believe that he is and that he rewards those who diligently seek him.
Oh, yes! Faith moves the heart and hand of God! Multiple times in the New Testament, when someone was healed, we see Jesus declaring that it was the person’s faith that caused the healing. Though God longs to bless people with healing and other blessings, it is faith that causes them to happen.
The Bible affirms King David as a man after God’s own heart. What is unique about David’s faith is that it was based upon God’s unfailing love!
Psalm 119:41,76 May your unfailing love come to me, O LORD, your salvation according to your promise. May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant.
Psalm 130:7 O Israel, put your hope in the LORD, for with the LORD is unfailing love and with him is full redemption.
King David’s unwavering faith in God’s unfailing love caused him to become the most revered king in Israel’s history.
2 Samuel 5:10 And he (King David) became more and more powerful because the LORD God Almighty was with him.
Though God longs to bless you more than you desire to be blessed, only faith can access that blessing. Therefore, God is longing for you to believe him, putting the full weight of your trust upon him! Man cannot fully comprehend God, and consequently, many people choose not to believe him. They spend their efforts trying to figure out God instead of humbly trusting him. This is why Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” Luke 18:17
There is nothing more pleasing to God than fully accepting him and his truth without questioning – just like a child! God is pleased when you believe him because that is the only way he can bless and empower you! Is your trust in God’s unfailing love? Do you genuinely believe that he is for you? Do you believe that he desires to bless you?
