How You Grow

Everyone is growing – everyone is moving toward something, whether good or bad. As I said yesterday, you are what you eat. The type of food or input you choose will determine How you grow. Your input will decide whether or not you are heading towards a life of success and significance or discouragement and failure.

Not only is everyone going to grow, everyone is going to eat. It’s not whether you will eat or not but rather what you eat. The more a person has successful input, the more they will grow toward success. This is why apostle Peter wrote, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word so that you may grow thereby.” 1 Peter 2:2  God knows that the greatest way for you to experience the life of heaven is to soak in his Word. Why? Because the Word of God is God.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

When you put the Word of God in you, you are putting in the DNA and genetic codes of God himself. The more you soak in and receive the Word of God, the more your life will become Christlike. You see, the only way to increase or become more successful on the outside is to increase and become more successful on the inside. The wisest man that ever lived wrote, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7 KJV What others think of you is not nearly as important as what you think of you because the way you think of you determines who you are and where you’re life is going.

Have you accepted that God has declared you as his very own child! You are more important to God than you have ever dreamed! You are so valuable that God was willing to send His only Son to the cross for you! Do you believe it? When you soak in what the Word of God says about you, you start to feel the empowerment of God himself. This is why Jesus said, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” 34“Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.” 35Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. John 6:32-35

Everything you need is found inside of Christ, the Word! If you see yourself as more than a conqueror, you will live a life of conquering.

Romans 8:35-38   Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written: “For your sake, we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, k neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

How can you become a conqueror? It is through him who loves you! Are you receiving who he says you are? Do you know who you are? Your input will determine how you feel about yourself and how you feel about yourself will determine the output and outcome of your life. Everyone will have input, and everyone will grow; the question is how they will grow. Even more importantly, the question is, how are you growing? What is your input like? Without a doubt, your input will determine…
