Powerful Choices You Can Make
Those who understand the power of choosing and implementing successful habits are those who will do great things in life. You can only change your life when those successful things you do become a daily habit. On that note, I want to give you some powerful choices that you can implement in your life.
1. Choose to Bless the Lord at All Times
a. One of the choices that caused King David to be great was his habit of blessing the Lord. He said, “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.” Psalm 34:1. The only way to be successful at blessing the Lord at all times is to have your mind always on things above.
2. Choose to Daily Set Your Mind on Things above
a. Apostle Paul knew the power of right-thinking and said, “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you in died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:1-3
3. Choose to Daily Offer Your Body As a Living Sacrifice to God
a. True worship is not just lifting your hands to God while worship music is being played; true worship is daily offering your body as a living sacrifice to God. True worship is a life lived for the glory of God.
b. Romans 12:1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.
4. Choose to Continually Offer a Sacrifice of Praise to God
a. Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name.
b. Christianity is a lifestyle, not merely something we do on Sundays or even every morning!
5. Choose to Rejoice in the Lord Always
a. 1Thess 5:16 Rejoice in the Lord always.
i. Powerful Christianity begins when your Christianity is an always Christianity.
6. Choose to Pray Continually
a. 1Thess 5:17 Pray continually.
i. Those who get answers to their prayers pray persistently and consistently. Since God is with you every minute and second of every day, your communication with him can be at all times!
7. Choose to Give Thanks in Every Circumstance
a. 1Thess 5:18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
b. A person who is always grateful and has a thankful heart is a person who will love living! This is the kind of person who always sees the best in every circumstance.
No matter where you are or what you have done, hope, healing, restoration, and significance are available for you! Everything in life is a reflection of what you’ve chosen to do. If you want to experience a different life, you will need to make different choices! Many people want to follow the path of least resistance, but those who choose what is best over what is easy are those who will experience success and significance. The easy way is almost always not the easy way!
Maybe as you read this, you know that some things need to change in your life. My question to you would be, what choices will you make? A life that is ever-increasing is not out of your reach! Now is your opportunity to decide to move in the right direction!
