The Life God Wants for You

Trying to live the righteous life God requires is like trying to swim underwater for 5 miles without coming up for a breath. Even if you are a world-class swimmer, you will need to come up for air every minute or two. Similarly, fulfilling God’s righteous requirements is impossible without his grace! Living a Christlike life is an act of God within us and is accessed only by faith.

Romans 1:17 For in the gospel, a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith. ”

Galatians 3:10-11  All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly, no one is justified before God by the law because “The righteous will live by faith.”

Trying to be good enough to be acceptable to God produces a life of condemnation, failure, and ultimate destruction. But the life of childlike faith causes us to live in freedom and experience the life of heaven right here on earth! When we believe God, surrendering to his incredible love and grace, we receive his righteousness granted to us through the blood of Jesus. This is when powerful things happen! This is when real life begins! This is when heaven’s way of living flows through us instead of striving to make it happen.
