A New Spiritual Hunger
Yeah Maybe it’s just me, but it seems as if something unusual is happening in the spiritual realm! I am experiencing more of God and his glorious presence than ever before. With all that’s going on in the world, it seems like a perfect time for God to pour out his Spirit in an unprecedented measure!
Yes, I believe the time of God’s favor for the body of Christ is now! Because of a clearer understanding of the gospel, the grace revolution is advancing and expanding significantly. I believe God is enabling a supernatural hunger for the reality of his presence across the world as never before. In the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon stated, “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes 3:1 I believe the season is NOW! I believe that we are coming into a time of revival that will usher in the return of Jesus! I love the following Scriptures!
Think about this – Jesus prayed five times in John 17 that the same unity he had with the Father would manifest in the entire body of Christ. This has not happened yet, and Jesus does not pray prayers that don’t get answered. Also, apostle Paul said, “It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, 12 to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13
Since we have not yet experienced unity in the body of Christ that Jesus spoke of and have not yet become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ, I believe something powerful is getting ready to take place! I believe God is releasing a revelation of himself in a way that will cause us, as his children, to experience his reality as never before! I love the following Scriptures.
Psalm 63:1 (NIV) O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
Psalm 84:2 (NIV) My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.
Ezekiel 36:26 (NIV) I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
I am always so inspired and encouraged by the radical passion King David and the other writers of the Psalms had for the presence of God! I believe the revelation of God’s good opinion of you as declared in his word is the beginning of revival for your life!
Please understand this; the trajectory of your life can be known and assessed based on your daily routine. The dominant thoughts of your heart and mind determine how high you can go in this life! Don’t worry about what you didn’t do or even did do in your yesterday’s – instead, take today by storm by focusing your mind on what God believes about you!
Never entertain the lie that you can be right with God based upon moral behavior! Abraham did not receive the promise that he would be an heir of the world as a reward for his moral behavior; instead, he received it because of faith.
My dearest friend, today is your day to surrender to (believe) who you really are! God declares you as one who is perfect in his sight (Heb 10:14) – don’t argue with him – he’s right! Receive this precious truth about you with complete confidence because it was bought for you through the sacrifice of Jesus! Your perfect standing with God is a free gift – it cannot be earned!
As you internalize the reality that you are the greatest passion of God’s heart, you will become overwhelmed by God’s immense love for you, and a powerful hunger to know and experience him more will become your reality!
