How could you ever be excited about losing something? Oh, I can assure you that sometimes losing something is the most rewarding and fulfilling thing you could ever do! Think about it; when it comes to love, people are willing to lose whatever it takes to gain it! Nothing you will ever experience in all of the world is more beautiful and wonderful than God’s love! The greatest blessing you will ever know is the overwhelming glory of being intimate with God.

When a person surrenders to the grace found in Jesus Christ, incredible and powerful things are on its heels! Please don’t be deceived by misguided teaching; living in God’s abundant life will cost you your whole life! This amazing life happens when a person lets go of the life based on self and chooses the life of faith in God!

The sin that Adam and Eve committed was rejecting faith in God and accepting the life of self through the do-it-yourself tree (The tree of the knowledge of good and evil). God never intended for us to get life from our own righteousness but rather through his love. Below are God’s words on how to gain his kind of life.

Matthew 10:37-39  “Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me, and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

Apostle Paul had an intimate understanding of this concept and said, “But whatever was to my profit, I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.  What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ--the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.” Philippians 3:7-9  

Christianity without power is like a car without fuel – pretty much useless! The power of God is accessed only through faith! How many examples do we see in the Bible where the person’s faith healed them and not Jesus’ prayer or touch? A life of faith procures a life of intimacy with God, and intimacy with God opens the door to the power of God. God’s greatest joy is when we believe him, and his greatest pain is when we doubt him.

Would you like to see God’s mighty power working through your life? Let your thinking be dominated by what God believes about you! Living a life where everything is an extension of God is a life where God’s glory is revealed! There is only one way to experience this kind of life, and that is by putting him at the center of your every moment! When everything you do is motivated by your faith in God, everything you do will be empowered by him! This means your business, your ministry, your marriage, your family, etc., will be empowered by him!

Living in the faith of God is the most exciting life ever imagined! Faith steps you into the life of being completely loved, and being loved makes losing it all for your lover the only thing that makes sense!
