PROMISE LAND – HERE WE COME!
God brought the children of Israel out of Egypt so that he could take them into the promise land. Why did they not go in? Because of unbelief. Do we struggle with this? Think about this: Why in the world did God ever say this to us, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9 Why would he say this to us strong, Bible-toting, faith-walking people of heaven? Why? Because all of us struggle at times! All of us go through things that make us want to quit! God would have never told us not to be weary in well-doing if we were never going to feel like giving up.
Sometimes the battle of life rages on, and the onslaught of the enemy seems overwhelming. It is at these times God wants us to look to Him and rejoice! Why? Because God is our shield! He has promised to help us! He is our glory and the lifter of our heads! There’s nothing in all the world that he desires more than us! And if he has brought us this far, he will indeed take us the rest of the way!
Psalms 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
Even as God told the children of Israel through his servant Moses, so he is saying to you and I today – “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6
King David knew the power of God to deliver him in any and every situation, and during a very trying time in his life, he said these riveting words. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4
Do you know that there is a promise land for you? God did not bring you out this far to take you back; He brought you out to take you into the promised land! Your promise land is within you, a life of freedom, victory, purpose, and significance! Oh, yes! I’m talking about a life where you know you are completely loved!
Do you know that your thoughts will determine your future? The more you rest in the love, grace, and provision of God, the more your life will experience the glory of God! The glory of God is the sum of all that he is, his majesty and awesomeness, his possessions and power, his provision, his worth and his passion! God is your glory!
When you live inside of the grace of God, there’s no room for worry or fear! God’s got you! It will all work out! As a matter of fact, it will all work out for your good! Romans 8:28 God is in love with you! You are more precious to him than all his creation! Of everything he created, only you are made in his image and likeness. You are the longing of his heart and his dream come true! Let go of all preconceived ideas that don’t line up with the word of God and choose today to believe what God believes about you!
