TEACHING GRACE

If there is one thing we need a fuller comprehension of, it is the grace of God! The grace of God is so simple, yet so profound that people often misunderstand it. The favor God has granted us through his grace is undeserved empowerment to live heaven’s life right here on earth. The grace of God does not only empower us but is a teacher for us. 

Titus 2:11-15 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.

Wow! You would never have thought that it would be God’s grace that would teach us all of that. So often, people are trying in their own strength to live a godly life, but it is the empowerment which is accessed by God’s grace that makes this possible. Remember, at the center of the word “grace” is the concept “undeserved.” Don’t try to earn this grace, surrender to its beauty, wonder, and enablement! Are you ready for more?
