God Has a Dream for You
Having a vision or dream for your life is so important! Solomon wrote, “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18 This means, when there is no vision, a person won’t be disciplined about their life. A person without a vision wakes up in the morning but has no reason to get out of bed. A person with a vision wakes up and is excited to get going because of the inspiration of their dream.
Have you ever tried to go to sleep at night, but your mind was racing with so many worries and cares that you couldn’t sleep? I think this has happened to almost all of us. One of the most valuable keys for a successful life is learning to cast your cares upon God.
1 Peter 5:7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. NLT
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Trusting God has the power to bring about true rest and sweet sleep. Being spiritually asleep means that you trust God so completely that you live inoculated to the things that could stress you out. This kind of life is what opens you up to the vision or dream of God for your life! Complete trust in God is the catalyst for rest that causes your God-given dreams to be realized. I want to assure you; God has a unique and exciting dream for your life, and it is time for you to discover it.
God created you for a specific purpose, and he longs for you to know and live in that exciting purpose for your life! As we discussed, it is hard to sleep if your mind is not at rest. Therefore, rest is a prerequisite to not only sleep but dreaming. When your soul (mind, will, and emotions) is not at rest, it is very difficult to receive God’s dream for your life. So what’s the secret to knowing and living in God’s dream for your life? The secret is trusting God enough to rest your soul in His arms of love! Resting in God is where dreams come alive! Listen to these endearing words of Jesus in Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Trusting God brings rest to your heart and soul and enables you to see what was previously hidden from your site. Before God created the universe, he was thinking of you! He is intensely passionate about you and is excited about the plans he has for you. Oh yes! You can rest assured that God has a wonderful plan for your life and that your best is yet to come!
The opportunity of a lifetime is in front of you! It is now that you can learn the life of faith and trust God as never before! It is time to set your mind on what God says is true about you and refuse to believe anything else! Be careful to limit your time around those who live in negativity because that they will squelch God’s dream for your life.
