It’s Time to Get Real Salty

Salt received a bad rap in years past because scientists based their research upon highly processed table salt. But, as you probably know, salt has been making a real comeback in its natural form. Salt in its raw and natural state is not only essential but has some fantastic health benefits. Genuine, unadulterated sea salt is filled with minerals. It is an essential building block for many of our most critical metabolic functions, not to mention its ability to enhance the flavor of all those foods we love. :-) Salt is not only about taste; it is about preservation and cleansing. Throughout the ages, salt has been used to preserve foods and meats so that they could be used months or even years later. Also, salt has been used for healing wounds because of its ability to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria.

Like salt, the Holy Spirit in you is the force in this world to not only make life truly worth living but is the cleansing and preserving power that keeps this world from self-destructing! At this point, the Holy Spirit within the body of Christ is restraining the takeover of the antichrist spirit. When the rapture occurs, and the Holy Spirit’s power within the believers is removed, all hell will break loose on the earth. Since you and I house the Holy Spirit, we are the agents of preservation and cleansing in this world and must therefore remain as salty as possible!

Mark 9:50  “Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can you make it salty again? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with each other.”

Colossians 4:6  Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Isn’t it interesting that having salt in you causes you to have peace with others?! How desperately our world needs this! Yes, even your conversation is to be seasoned with salt. In other words, your conversations should be filled with words that cleanse, heal, preserve, release grace, and bring about peace. Just being around you should make life taste better! :-)

The only way to become saltier is by increasing how filled and controlled you are by the one who is salt within us, the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 5:18-20 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

You can increase the control of the Holy Spirit in your life by three things;

1.  speaking to one another was Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.

2.  Singing and making music in your heart to the Lord.

3.  Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything.

This is a description of what it is like to spend time in the presence of the Lord. The presence of God is accessed when we worship him from our hearts!

My prayer for you today is that you would take the time today to soak in the glorious presence of God! That beautiful place of worship is the wellspring of God’s life that will fill you with the saltiness of heaven! You know, there is nothing that speaks so loudly as the elegant beauty of one whose words and actions are controlled by the precious Holy Spirit! The world needs you...God wants to flow through you! Come on!… It’s Time to Get Real Salty
