Giving up Is Not an Option

It is easy to quit when things get difficult! It is often hard to remember that trials are for a reason and only for a season when you are in the middle of a real test. But we must remember that God allows situations to try our faith so that we can grow.

1 Peter 1:6-9 In all this, you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, 9for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

The purpose of trials is the increase of our faith, and the goal of increasing our faith is the salvation of our souls. God allows trials because he longs for us to step into his glorious life of faith that conquers fear, condemnation, and worry! Trials are what give us the unique opportunity to access increase like nothing else!

In the story below, a woman with a never-say-die spirit is at center stage. Even when she was being humiliated and rejected at a very dark point in her life, she was resolute in her pursuit for the healing of her daughter!

Matthew 15:22-28 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon possession.” 23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to him and urged him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.” 24 He answered, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel.” 25 The woman came and knelt before him. “Lord, help me!” she said.

26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.” 27 “Yes, Lord,” she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their masters’ table.” 28 Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour  NIV1984

This Canaanite woman knew that Jesus was her answer, and she was unwilling to allow rejection and humiliation to keep her from her breakthrough! Wow! How inspiring! How often have people given up because someone rejected them or looked down on them? When you are confident that God is your answer, giving up is not an option! Pressing in to get your breakthrough is the only way!

I don’t know what challenges you are facing in your life right now, but I can assure you that if you choose to trust God, he will exceed your expectations! This whole thing is a setup, so don’t let up! Today is your day for a breakthrough and… Giving Up Is Not An Option

Always for your best,

Arthur
