God's Words Are Life
For more than 100 years, Miller beer has been trying to say that they have the high life, but no substance in this world has the power to give you a life you love living. Why? Because only in Christ does a person find the life they truly love living!
One of the greatest keys to having a life of significance is learning to think thoughts that make you love being you. Having a life you love living is not about money, position, or fame; it’s about living inside of God’s truth. Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:10b Since Jesus is the Word of God, when you soak in the Bible, you soak in life. Speaking of Jesus, apostle John wrote, “In him was life, and that life was the light of men.” John 1:4 In Jesus, the Word, is life, and that life is what reveals to us the extraordinary life of heaven! Loving being you becomes a way of life when the Word of God is what directs your every thought.
Just like we need food every day, we need God’s Word every day. As a matter of fact, Jesus called himself the bread of life.
Jn 6:51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
Thinking God’s thoughts means thinking about how loved, adored and precious you are! God gave us the entirety of the Word of God so that we can experience the wholeness of his precious heart and thoughts towards us.
The Word of God is called the Logos, which means the totality of the breathed Words of God. Another Greek word is used in the New Testament for God’s Word; it is the Word rhema. Rhema speaks of a specific, revealed word of God for you. This is what I like to call the water of the Word. When God reveals his Word to you, it is refreshing and life-changing; it causes new vision and brings new life! The revealing of God’s Word happens when you have been soaking on it by meditating on what God has said. God gets excited when you begin to meditate on his Word because he longs to help you see into his heavenly world!
The Word of God is powerful! Speaking by the Holy Spirit, Solomon said, “My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight; keep them within your heart, for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Prov 4:20-23
Yes, God’s words are life, and they are health! Solomon said, “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” The launchpad for a life you love living are the words of life found in the Word of God! Those who choose to make God’s thoughts (His Word) absolute truth for them are those who will experience the glorious life of heaven right here on earth! Loving being you comes down to how you view each day. Your problems are not your problem – your only problem is how you view your problems. A big God equals a minor problem, but a small God equals a big problem.
God is in love with you! He will make a way for you! Do you know that he loves you? Do you know how precious you are?
