FREE FROM FEAR Part 26

Eph 2:13-16 But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off are made near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; to make in himself of two one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: (KJV 2000)

FREE FROM FEAR Part 24

We determined that naked speaks of transparency and honesty and complete openness. Before the fall, Adam and Eve lived before God without any form of measurement concerning their righteousness or lack thereof. Therefore, before the fall, they did not make moral decisions. After Adam and Eve partook of the tree, they were immediately bound to a life that depended on their own performance to be right with God. This revelation produced shame, so they tried to cover themselves with fig leaves (the sign of self-righteousness). Because they were now conscious of their sin, Adam and Eve were afraid of punishment and tried to hide from the One who loved them the most.

FREE FROM FEAR Part 22

So, what is lordship? The book of Exodus records the story of God telling Moses to deliver the children of Israel from the hand of Pharaoh. The conversation between God and Moses accurately depicts what the term Lordship means. Moses was afraid and said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” 14 God said to Moses, “I Am Who I Am. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” Ex 3:13-14

FREE FROM FEAR PART 21

Have you ever cut a branch from its stock or vine? I have. I am always amazed at how fast the leaves of the cut branch begins to wither! A branch cannot live being in the vine only here and there! The branch must be firmly connected and abide in the vine if it is going to survive and bear fruit. The vine is not an “add-on” to the branch’s existence, but rather the entirety of its life! The vine is the complete source for the branch. Without the vine, the branch will wither up and die!

FREE FROM FEAR Part 20

When it comes to spiritual realities, faith is what opens the gifts that God has given to us. It is not about having faith at one point and then continuing on with life. Instead it is living by faith in the reality of God at every moment. A life that is filled with the glorious realities of heaven is not a life that comes to God here and there, or even daily, but rather a life whose existence is not a possibility without God. A person who visits God only on a regular basis will never experience the realities that I’m talking about. It is only the person who abides in the nourishment that comes from the truth and presence of God that will step into that reality.

FREE FROM FEAR Part 19

Galatians 5:1 says, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free, therefore, do not allow yourself to be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” This Scripture declares that Christ has set us free. It does not say he’s going to set us free, but he has set us free. You may be thinking, so if I am still dealing with fear and don’t feel free, how could the Bible possibly say that Christ has set us free? I’m glad you asked that question because tomorrow, we will open the treasure chest of hidden truths that have the power to step you into the life of true freedom – a life of heaven right here on earth!
