I am convinced that as you put one foot in front of the other, you will feel a wind at your back because God will be there to empower you! God loves it when you, by faith, take bold steps to accomplish what he has created you to do! He has called you to make a difference and to accomplish great things! You can be assured that when you choose to step out upon the things he has put in your heart to do, he will be right there with you! He will empower you and make a way even when there seems to be no way!

A couple thousand years ago, a group of believers met together on the Lord’s day (Sunday) and were praying and worshiping when the Holy Spirit fell and changed the course of all of history! (see Acts 2) God is the one who instituted church, and he wants you to be a part of it! There is no such thing as a perfect church or pastor! As a pastor, I’ll be the first to say that my church and I definitely fit into that category! God does not want you to go to a perfect church, but instead wants to perfect the church you are and are a part of! God uses people who make mistakes to do his work – and you are one of them!

According to that Scripture, the appropriate time to fast would be now. Jesus, the bridegroom, has been taken from us, and we certainly need his help from heaven! Jesus gave us more wisdom about fasting when he said, “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” (Mt 6:16-18)

I want to spend the rest of my life acknowledging the goodness of God! The best way I can spend the rest of my life in that attitude is to take possession of this moment. Life is always experienced in the now. I can’t wait till tomorrow to be grateful and to tell God how much I appreciate him; I must do it now! Those who will have a great life will be those who know how to live in the now! Remember, the price of your future is your present! What you do now will determine your tomorrow!

Wow! Want to enter? This is the time and season of the favor of God! What a day in what an opportunity you have! Praising God and giving Him thanks is the powerful key that unlocks the King's gates. When things are difficult, it is easy to worry and complain. Still, it is during these times that a sacrifice of praise is necessary that will allow the salvation of God to come to you.
